By all accounts, women's surfing has been on a definitive upswing in the past year-plus -- and the media beyond surfing's core has been taking note. ELLE Australia is the latest outlet to give surfing the glossy touch. The women's magazine has a new article that features Championship Tour (CT) surfers Laura Enever (AUS), Alessa Quizon (HAW) and Courtney Conlogue (USA) in their elements: At the beach, in the yoga studio and under water:

Not since Kate Bosworth's stint in Blue Crush has the world of women's surfing encroached on the zeitgeist so feverishly. The new crop of young, talented surf professionals are passionate and dedicated as hell, with devout personal style (think black neoprene wetsuits and artistic side projects) and their fingers firmly on the pulse. We managed to pin down three of the Billabong Women's Team's rising stars (in between surfing Hawaii's North Shore) to talk success, staying fit and the beauty products that actually last in the water.

Get the full photo gallery and interviews in ELLE, and catch the women's CT LIVE at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast at worldsurfleague.com daily through March 11.
