2015 WSL Japan Billabong Pro Shikoku supported by Player Resort Lare Murasaki, finished the third day of competition in 2-to-3 foot waves with favorable offshore conditions. Competitors put up big scores amid the rain for a full day of action.

The day's action began with Heat 12 of the Round of 64. Arashi Kato (JPN) stood out among the rest of the competitors on Day 3, scoring a 9.00 and a backup in the seven-point range to make a combined score of 16.25 points, the highest two-wave total of the round.

Scoring the second-highest heat total of the day was Takumi Nakamura (JPN) who earned a combined total of 15.00. Nakamura is currently No. 2 on the regional Qualifying Series rankings and is on pace for another solid result.

The co-sanctioned event allows surfers to earn points both toward their WSL regional ranking as well as their status on the JPSA. Stakes are high, especially with a prize purse of 4,000,000 Yen, attracting 160 of the finest surfers, domestic as well as worldwide to the event.
