Gabriel Medina (BRA) was right at home at Lower Trestles. In his do-or-die, Round 2 heat at the Hurley Pro, he went to work on his backhand to score a 9.00.

Local wildcard Ian Crane had his work cut out for him in his Round 2 heat against Filipe Toledo (BRA) at the 2015 Hurley Pro. But he wasn't afraid to unleash this backhand attack on Lowers; his sequence of turns earned him a 9.10.

Reigning World Champion Gabriel Medina (BRA) kicked off his run at the Hurley Pro at Trestles with a 9-point performance. Medina had a slow start to the season, but progressively gotten better with each event.
