Billabong Pipe Masters On for Wednesday in Solid Surf

WSL Commissioner Kieren Perrow on Tuesday confirmed that the Billabong Pipe Masters will get back in action Wednesday starting at 8:00 a.m. local time, in solid conditions. According to Surfline, wave faces are expected to reach 10-12 feet, with occasional 15-foot sets. Read the full Surfline forecast.

In his contest update Tuesday afternoon, Perrow said that the new swell was starting to fill in but was still inconsistent. With the big waves ahead, he plans to run a full day of heats Wednesday and wrap up Thursday. Before it's all over a new World Champion will rise.

Jordy Smith (ZAF) vs. Title contender Gabriel Medina (BRA) will kick things off Wednesday in Round 3, Heat 1. Watch them live on the WSL website and app.
