Margaret River surfer Jacob Willcox and Perth native Felicity Palmateer battled through both beautiful morning conditions and challenging afternoon winds at Main Break to successfully earn spots into the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro.
Willcox put on a show in Round 1 at the World Junior Championship in early January.
It won't be anything new for the Western Australians, both who have competed in several of the elite level events before. Willcox earned the wildcard seeds at Rip Curl's (his main sponsor) events at Bells Beach and Portugal in 2014.

Palmateer has competed in several Championship Tour events including the 2013 Drug Aware Margaret River Pro where she placed equal ninth. In her Round One heat during the event she took down six-time World Champion Stephanie Gilmore and Pauline Ado to advance directly to Round Three. This year she'll be facing current World No. 1 Courtney Conlogue in her first heat.
