Jordy Smith, Caio Ibelli and Julian Wilson had plenty to work with in their Round One heats as Supertubes turned on for the J-Bay Open.
Smith came from behind to beat Wiggolly Dantas. Ibelli pulled a big upset over former event winner Joel Parkinson. Julian Wilson led wire-to-wire with a commanding win that netted him the highest score of the round.
