Filipe Toledo and Kelly Slater were pitted against each other in a Quarterfinal clash of Trestles titans at the Hurley Pro. Slater, who has had some of his best performances at Lowers, had his hands full with Filipe, one of San Clemente's newest residents. Both surfers were on their game in this one but by the end of the heat, Filipe had Kelly in a combo situation thanks to his fiery brand of surfing.
