Cascais' Best? Tanner Gudauskas vs. Ian Gouveia in Quarterfinal Battle

One of the Billabong Pro Cascais' most exciting heats was a see-saw battle between Ian Gouveia and Tanner Gudasukas in the Quarterfinals. The back-and-forth underscored both surfers' total determination to make it to the big leagues in 2017, and upped the ante for everyone in the hunt.

And while both the Brazilian and the Californian put on incredible performances, netting a 9-point ride each, it was Gouveia who turned things around in the final minutes. He went on to a Semifinal match against CT surfer Jeremy Flores.
