In a do-or-die Round Two clash, World No. 3 Matt Wilkinson faced a very dangerous wildcard threat in Joan Duru, the French local who's currently No. 4 on the Qualifying Series. The two traded blows in the high-tide lefts, forcing judges to study their replays before dropping their scores. Wilko would win eventually earn the nod, but not before Duru fired off a few warning shots.
