Onshore conditions at Supertubos resulted in big scores above the lip. Wiggolly Dantas stole a massive win off fellow Brazilian fly-boy Filipe Toledo. Kelly Slater put on a show for rookies Stu Kennedy and Matt Banting, with a massive full-rotation air, earning a 9-point ride. Feeding off the 11x World Champ, Kerr came out blazing with some ariel antics of his own, flying into Round Three over Brazilian Alejo Muniz and top seed Adrian Buchan.
