Hawaiian Pro Post Show Report: Haleiwa Pumps

Hawaiian Pro competitors broke out their big boards during Round Two as they greeted a thumping swell at Haleiwa. While a number of surfers stepped up in the testing conditions, the standout performances came midday when the surf started to clean up.

Portuguese surfers Vasco Ribeiro and Frederico Morais both powered through Round Two with flawless rail surfing and huge 9-point rides. Brett Simpson and Tanner Gudauskas also produced impressive performances and advanced in their tight, high-scoring heats. The younger generation of California talent stepped up as well. San Clemente upstarts Griffin Colapinto and Ian Crane proved their worth in Hawaiian power, and charged their ways into Round Three.

With no shortage of swell on the North Shore, tune in Tuesday as the tension builds in Round Three of the Hawaiian Pro.
