Zeke Lau took another massive step toward his Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour dreams Sunday by advancing through two crucial heats at Sunset Beach. The Hawaiian needed to crack the Quarterfinals in order to stay in the mix for CT qualification. He did. But with several surfers in the hunt, he needed to advance again through the Quarterfinals. And in the final two minutes of the heat, he pulled it off with a last-minute wave. It was a huge moment, but Jack Freestone, Jesse Mendes, and Tanner Gudauskas are all giving chase.
