John John Florence's potential fairy-tale finish at Pipe came to an end today at the hands of an on-fire Michel Bourez in the Quarterfinals. A tactical blunder proved deadly for Florence as he let the Tahitian sneak into a Backdoor screamer under his priority. While the 2016 World Champ has plenty to celebrate, his next shot at the elusive Pipe Masters title will have to wait until 2017.
