When Ethan Ewing earned a spot on the 2017 Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour (CT) a few short months ago, he became an automatic favorite for the World Junior Championship.
And although the tour rookie-to-be has big plans for 2017, he hasn't taken any heats lightly in Kiama, Australia, where the Junior event is unfolding. In the Quarterfinals his sense of urgency was apparent when he went to battle with South African standout Jordy Maree. His flawless backhand attack on this Bombo Beach runner earned a massive 8.83, catapulting him into the Semis.
