Owen Wright rebounded nicely in his Round Two heat on Thursday, edging out a tough Zeke Lau in a hard-fought match at Main Break. On Wednesday, Wright came third to rookies Ian Gouveia and Connor O'Leary at North Point, forcing him into the dangerous Round Two death-match. Given his Rip Curl teammates Mick Fanning, Gabriel Medina, and Matt Wilkinson all lost, Wright's feeling pretty good about things. And he should. Not only was he surfing well, he looks pretty sharp in Jeep Leader yellow.
