Coco Ho Tops Tyler Wright in Opening Round Battle

In her Round One heat at Saquarema Tuesday, Coco Ho scored an 8.50 to nab the top spot from reigning World Champ Tyler Wright. The win was a small coup for the Hawaii veteran, who will jump directly to Round Three as a result. But even more encouraging for Coco was how well she surfed. She was sticking her moves in sure-footed fashion, and flowing beautifully between them. Something certainly seems to be clicking for Coco, who's long overdue for a big result. Beating the World Champ to start things off could serve as a big confidence booster.
