Post Show Report: Jeep Leaders in Danger at Outerknown Fiji Pro

Opening day of the Outerknown Fiji Women's Pro was a busy one, with three full rounds of competition running in the playful conditions at Cloudbreak. And the competition was fierce. While co-Jeep Leaders Stephanie Gilmore and Tyler Wright survived the day, they both have tough Round Four matches ahead. Gilmore will face an in-form Tatiana Weston-Webb, while Wright will be looking for revenge against wildcard Bethany Hamilton, who beat her in Round One, and knocked her out of the competition last year.

A consistent pulse of 2-to-4 foot surf out of the SW supplied plenty of opportunities for big scores throughout the day. Sage Erickson, who earned an early trip to the Quarterfinals, joined Rosy Hodge and Ronnie Blakey for the Post Show report. In their chat, Erickson opened up about her run of good form and why she thinks it's all come together this year.

After a long day competition, the non-elimination heats of Round Three wrapped up, setting up the final four rounds, which will likely be completed Wednesday local time if the swell holds. With all of the current Top 10 surfers on the Jeep Leaderboard still in the event, Finals day looks to be a banger. Tune in at 7:30 a.m. FJT to catch all the action.
