Thursday, June 8 was World Oceans Day, a pro-planet global event to promote environmental awareness and oceanic health. At hundreds of events around the world, surfers, beach enthusiasts and environmentalists participated in beach clean-ups, parties and seaside gatherings to raise awareness about the critical role that oceans, and their vitality, play in daily life.
The WSL and its family of athletes, fans and ocean lovers took part in several of the festivities, and our true desire is to honor the ocean every day. Below is a blend of some of the feelings shared by the extended family of ocean lovers.
