Highlight: HIC shows community support on Oahu

Each year HIC partners with the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii to teach over a hundred of Hawaii's kids how to surf, bodyboard and paddle canoe - sharing the stoke of the ocean lifestyle and perpetuating the spirit and legacy of Duke Kahanamoku.

This year, the event took place at Kailua Beach on Oahu's east side and pro surfers Joshua Moniz, Tai Van Dyke, Kalani David and Gavin Beschen helped get kids in the water and stoked on surfing.

HIC, in partnership with Vans, sponsors the official local qualifier into the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, the HIC Pro, which kicked off the winter surf season today, October 29 in 6-8ft. surf at Sunset Beach, Oahu.
