Laura Poncini from Australia's Sunshine Coast placing 2nd and advancing through Round 2 Heat 3 of the Hunter Ports Women's Classic. The heat was won by Hawaiian Briana Cope with Nao Omura from Japan eliminated in 3rd place. Poncini scored an outstanding 9 point ride late in the heat to advance and at 15 years of age, this is already an excellent result for the young Sunshine Coast surfer.Burton Toyota Pro Men's and Hunter Ports Women's Classic Women's are ASP 6 Star Qualifying Series Rated with many of the World's best surfers competing for vital points on the Association of Surfing Professionals 2014 Qualifying Series Tour.
