SEIGNOSSE / HOSSEGOR / CAPBRETON, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France (Wednesday, October 3, 2018) - True Axis along with Official Partners World Surf League (WSL) and Surfline today announced the worldwide launch of TRUE SURF. TRUE SURF is the world's most authentic mobile surfing game. TRUE SURF utilizes True Axis' real-world physics simulation engine, powered by live Surfline weather forecasts, to enable the virtual replication of a realistic surfing experience, similar to a surfer's favored pastime of ‘mind surfing' the waves from the beach.

TRUE SURF is available for download for FREE now at Apple's App Store and players can enter the WSL Trials for Stop No. 9 on the WSL Championship Tour (CT), the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France, to see if they have what it takes to become a World Champion.

True Axis Managing Director Luke Ryan said, "We wanted to create a game that can replicate the excitement and variability of surfing where conditions are always changing. I think TRUE SURF achieves that. With real-time data from Surfline implemented, we're having a lot of fun just opening the app each day to check out the TRUE SURF surf cams. There is also a lot of depth in picking the right board from your quiver to match the surf. We are committed to TRUE SURF after launch and are excited to engage with players to help us focus our future efforts."

TRUE SURF includes 21 of the world's best waves from classic reef breaks with hollow barrels at Pipe in Hawaii, Cloudbreak, Fiji to rolling ‘power-curve' breaks at Bells Beach, Australia. Or try to beat the sections at some of the fastest point breaks like Jeffreys Bay, South Africa. If BIG waves are your thing, then head to Nazare, Portugal and Jaws (Pe-ahi), Hawaii.

"Surfline are a proud partner of TRUE SURF to help virtual surfers Know Before They Go, and to power the game-play experience with real-time conditions," said Surfline SVP of Corporate Development, Ross Garrett. "Of course, we also love playing the game."

WSL Chief Community Officer, Tim Greenberg said, "We're very excited to announce the launch of the WSL's official mobile game. Our fans have been asking for this product and we're thrilled to be partnering with True Axis and Surfline to bring it to life. This is a fantastic opportunity for both surfers and new audiences to engage with and enjoy our incredible sport anytime, anywhere at their fingertips."

TRUE SURF's first live WSL CT competition is the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France. Players can enter during the event window from October 3 through to October 14, 2018 and will have 3 minutes to register the best 2 wave scores possible. Players can enter multiple times so stay tuned to the best conditions!

TRUE SURF is powered by real time surf forecasting data from Surfline (experts in marine weather forecasting). Data is updated throughout the day and includes Swell Height, Swell Direction, Wind, Tide and Water Temperature.

True Surf will be distributed through the App Store for iOS mobile devices and will follow up with Google Play store for Android shortly after.
