2018 WSL Big Wave Champion and 4x Jaws Big Wave Champion Billy Kemper and a number of other WSL surfers recently chased a series of massive Atlantic swells.
These swells brought the Nazaré Tow Surfing Challenge to life, as well as breaks in Morocco, which is where Kemper suffered an unexpected fall yesterday and severely injured his right hip.
The extent of the injury is unclear. Billy has been cleared to fly and will be traveling to California for further evaluation by his medical team.
We'll bring you updates on his condition as they become available and wish him a speedy recovery.
