Courtney Conlogue (USA) earned the first nine-pointer of the Target Maui Pro when she hacked up the lineup at Honolua Bay for a 9.57.
Tyler Wright (AUS) broke out her power game to earn a 9.23 in her Round 1 heat at Honolua Bay.
Wright scored another nine on her next takeoff.
Bianca Buitendag (ZAF) went vertical for a 9.80 in Round 1.
When conditions became tricky in Round 2, Carissa Moore (HAW) used her refined wave selection and earned a 9.70.
Paige Hareb (NZL) earned her first nine-point ride of the season -- a 9.30 -- in Round 2 of the 2014 contest in Maui.
Moore had found her rhythm and struck again in Round 3 with a 9.83.
After being relegated to Round 4, an elimination round, Conlogue returned to form and opened the heat with a perfect 10-point ride.
Conlogue tallied the highest heat total of the event when she backed up her perfect ride with a 9.40.
Lakey Peterson (USA) threw caution to the wind, hacking up Honolua for a 9.30 in the Quarterfinals.
