With his otherwordly skills and seeming superglue under his feet, fans of John John Florence (HAW) have long wondered if he has surfing super-powers. Finally, their questions have been answered: In a joint ad for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and blockbuster film The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Hawaiian is summoned for reasons unknown. A metal box lands on the beach, and he learns he's a match with Avengers hero Thor, for "his godly courage and godly hair."
Joining Florence in the mission -- ahem, TV ad -- are other luminaries from a range of disciplines: American football player Eddie Lacy, mechanical engineer Sasha Blanc, Swiss cyclist Fabian Cancellara, and a surprise final addition to the crew.
