Michel Bourez (PYF), who was eliminated from the Billabong Pro Tahiti in Round 2, has had a challenging year. An freesurf injury at Teahupo'o kept him sidelined for two consecutive events, pushing him down the rankings and, after spending most of 2014 on top, he's now fighting to keep his spot on the elite Tour next season. In an exclusive WSL interview, Bourez talks about his gnarly wipeout at Teahupo'o, his precarious position on the Jeep Leaderboard and how he's approaching the rest of the season.
