Yes, he's the younger sibling of Championship Tour heavyweights Owen and Tyler Wright, but unlike his elite elders, his hair is unkempt, his body is tattooed and his surfing has a bit of an unrefined rockstar quality to it. But make no mistake, speed, power, flow runs in the Wright family and Mikey lives up to the surname.

Just last year Mikey told StabMag.com that he wasn't focused on competing at the advice of his older brother and sister.
"I've watched Owen and Tyler and I've seen what they've done and I've had conversations with them both," Wright told Stab. "Tyler said to me, ‘Hold off (on qualifying) as long as you can. You're only young once. If I could've waited, I would've…' And it's been the same message from Owen."

But it appears the youngest Wright may be changing his tune as he looks to represent the family name on the men's Championship Tour as an event wildcard at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast while Owen is still on the mend.
