In their third matchup of the year, Bethany Hamilton went down to Tyler Wright in their do-or-die heat at the [Swatch Women's Pro](@@event:. But before it was all over, the Hawaiian wildcard capped off her run with an impressive performance.
In a near-repeat of their Fiji battle, the Hawaiian had the Jeep leader on the ropes at Trestles, while Nikki Van Dijk took the win.
After a third-place finish in Fiji, Bethany Hamilton was awarded a wildcard for the Swatch Women's Pro at Lower Trestles, starting Sept. 7.
The big-wave charger won the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy twin-fin division for the second year running.
