Post Show: Sparks Fly in Cascais

Strider Wasilewski and Peter Mel joined Kaipo Guerrero on the webcast set to recap a very busy day at the Championship Tour Cascais Women's Pro and the QS 10,000 EDP Billabong Pro Cascais. The biggest news of the morning was the revelation that current World Champ Tyler Wright had torn "70 percent" of the MCL of her right knee. Surfing with a large brace strapped to her gimpy knee, all eyes were on her during her Round One heat. The good news: She could still surf. The bad news: She finished third and will have to surf in Round Two, while her closest Title race opponents Sally Fitzgibbons and Courtney Conlogue skipped straight to Round Three.

Over on the Men's side, the focus was on the two brightest stars of the day: local hero Frederico Morais and 16-year-old Brazilian Mateus Herdy, who each chatted with Rosy Hodge following their rock-star performances. After a quick look at the current QS Top 10 standings and a short feature on Jesse Mendes, the crew capped things off with a look at a promising forecast for the rest of the event window.
