Lisbon, Portugal and Santa Monica, California (Thursday July 11, 2019)--FUEL TV and the World Surf League (WSL) have struck a new distribution agreement that will see the rest of the WSL's 2019 Championship Tour (CT) and select Qualifying Series (QS) events broadcast live on FUEL TV in China and EMEA, it was announced today by both organizations.

"We're thrilled to have the WSL back on FUEL TV" said Fernando Figueiredo, CEO of FUEL TV Global. "We have a long history with professional surfing, and to have the WSL live on Fuel at this pivotal moment on the Championship Tour is a real win for our passionate audience in EMEA and China."

In addition to the remaining seven WSL CT events, FUEL TV will also be carrying select QS events along with highlights and lifestyle programming being produced by WSL Studios.

"The fact that FUEL has the ability to take entire events live and uninterrupted gives our fans a great viewing experience and connects us even more deeply to our growing audience around the world."

The WSL on FUEL TV will kick off with the 2019 Corona Open J-Bay, with a holding period that commenced on July 9th and runs through July 22nd. The event takes place at the iconic Jeffreys Bay in South Africa and includes both Women's and Men's CT surfers competing.
