This 225-km stretch of golden sand beach stretches from the mouth of the Gironde in the north to Anglet in the south. Although summertime produces more gentile and accessible waves for anyone to enjoy, Autumn is when the smoking-hot barrels turn on.
When solid Westerly swells charge in towards Hossegor, La Graviere produces heavy, hollow barrels up to 12-feet that can punish even the most seasoned tube hunter.

The heavy waves that pound the shore of Hossegor are thanks in part to a deep underwater canyon that funnels swell towards the coast - similar to spots likes Nazaré and Puerto Escondido.
