Day 1 of the Beachwaver Maui Pro sees insanely good surf. At the start of the day Lakey Peterson was sitting at number 2 in the rankings and dreaming of a becoming World Champ but Wildcard Alana Blanchard had different plans taking out Lakey in round 2. Alana's victory meant Stephanie Gilmore became a 7x world champ and tied Layne Beachley for most women's World Titles. The icing on the cake is more swell shows up for Day 2 of Beachwaver Maui Pro.
