Derek Ho's first Pipeline Masters win in 1986 would be defined by one perfect, shimmering tube ride ridden during the semifinals. It was called "The Tube of the Decade" and it was just in time as the Masters was finally back on the World Tour schedule after an embarrassing 3-year hiatus.
Derek and his brother Michael now each had won their first Pipeline Masters and the Ho name would be tied to the event for decades to come.
