Surfers are treated to a fresh new location for the GADIS Junior Pro Ferrol as the European season continues to unfold.
The GADIS Junior Pro Ferrol is the freshest addition to the European tour, coming up from July 23-25, 2021 in Galicia!
What?
The second of four stops on this year's European Junior Qualifying Series (JQS), this event will be an important step for the region's best under-18 surfers towards locking in a spot for the World Junior Championships.
After an epic start to the season in Northwest France a few weeks back, Adur Amatriain and Lucia Machado lead the way and have a target on their backs as Stop No. 2 approaches. They will need to confirm their current form and fend off the army of newcomers wanting a piece of the European tour pie.
Where?
The playa de Doniños is actually quite close to the last event we ran, just recently in Pantin. Slightly further South and West, it's just off the side of Ferrol, and a very popular beach for people living in the city.
Facing West, it receives plenty of swell from most directions, and delivers everything from long rippable walls to hollow tubes, along the nearly 1 kilometer stretch of beautiful white sand.
