For the Billabong Pro Pipeline, World Surf League teamed up on a restoration project with Lakey Peterson, Bettylou Sakura Johnson and Conner Coffin alongside #weareoneocean coalition partner Mālama Pūpūkea-Waimea, a community nonprofit based on the North Shore, and #ShiseidoBlue. As surfers, we rely on reef ecosystems for amazing waves and the restoration of marine and coastal habitats can provide a range of ecological benefits such as maintaining healthy reefs, coastal protection from flooding and erosion, and water quality improvements.
