With storm conditions forcing a day off for the Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal, Hawaiian phenom John John Florence and big wave legend Peter Mel (USA), ASP's Big Wave World Tour (BWWT) Colonel, took advantage of the huge swell. Their waves -- and wipeouts -- are the focus of Dawn Patrol's Monster Moment, and help kick off the second half of the BWWT season. The big wave tour's window opened this week for contests in the Northern Hemisphere.
