Malia Manuel of Hawaii surfed an excellent round one heat at the Roxy Pro defeating Silvana Lima of Brazil and Courtney Conlogue of USA. It was Manuel first heat on the elite ASP World Title Tour and by winning she advances straight to round three while her opponents go into elimination round two.
