THE LOCATION: Vieux Boucau is a close neighbor to the World renowned Hossegor and enjoys similar weather and wave conditions. A small village in winter turns into a major touristic area comes July and August and welcomes tourists from all-over France and Europe.
THE HISTORY: Vieux Boucau has a long tradition of hosting longboarding events and is a favorite amongst the surfers for its beautiful stretch of beach and laid-back vibe. Last year's event was disputed in classic conditions and saw Justine Dupont (FRA) and Edouard Delpero (FRA) claim both the event trophy and European Title.
THE WAVE: A long stretch of beach from the nearby Hossegor all the way north to the Arcachon bay offers clean, powerful surf in Vieux Boucau.
