In 2016, Kelly Slater Wave Company (KSWC), joined the WSL as an innovative wave technology company. KSWC is the first to develop a formula that combines cutting-edge science, engineering, and design to create the longest, open-barrel, high-performance wave in existence.

FinanceAccounting ManagerWorld Surf League HQ
The Accounting Manager serves as a key member of the Finance Team assisting the growing department and reporting into the Controller, Director of Accounting. This role will have a focus in Regional Reporting and will act as the liaison with all Regional offices to ensure proper subsidiary reporting. This role will also have a focus in Revenue Accounting and will act as the liaison with the Partnerships team to oversee the order to cash process from a revenue accounting perspective. This role will be responsible for accurate accounting, reporting and analysis of all aspects of accounting. In addition, this role will be responsible for oversight of other financial statement areas, such as fixed assets, cash, accruals, etc.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Partnering with the Controller and Senior Accountants to ensure a timely, accurate and complete monthly financial statement close process.
- Review of regional office monthly financial reporting submissions for proper accounting treatment of cash activities and event P&L coding
- Review of revenue contracts. Summarize key terms, determine accounting treatment, identify issues and seek approvals as needed; document contract changes and/or new customer contracts.
- Responsible for month-end revenue close including journal entries and account reconciliations related to revenue, accruals, reserves, and related expenses
- Review and approval of internal sales commission submissions
- Assist in implementing and strengthening business processes.
- Work with external auditors to ensure revenue recognition interpretations are consistent with GAAP/company policy and provide related support.
- Analyze / reconcile / document revenue-related and other balance sheet accounts in concert with the fiscal close.
- In concert with the Senior Accountant, provide timely invoicing to our various business partners / customers and application of cash receipts.
- Prepare and review financial statements complete with supporting analysis.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience preferably with a mix of both public and private companies
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of revenue accounting and financial principles, preferred
- Outstanding communication skills – including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
- Ability to juggle multiple high priorities in a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn
- CPA highly preferred
- Understanding of ASC 606, specifically contracts with multiple performance obligations

Summary:
The Boat Captain has the responsibility for the overall delivery of the watersports experience at the lake including operation of the boat and equipment This may also include instruction of watersports while ensuring the guest’s safety and enjoyment of their experience. This position will also be required to perform light maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Works under the supervision of the Surf Ranch Sous Chef and Kitchen Supervisor. The cook is responsible for assisting the culinary team on the execution and preparation of menu items, receiving and processing deliveries, cleaning, and supporting the culinary department as requested by Chefs, Hospitality management, and people leaders. The position is responsible for ensuring quality meals and service for Surf Ranch guests during their stay. The Cook should familiarize themselves with the guests that are coming to visit Surf Ranch and be knowledgeable of any dietary or allergy restrictions.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen facilities meeting company standards and health code regulations
- Prepare food/maintain facility in accordance with company and health code regulations

Summary:
The EVS team ensures a professional and positive overall impression of the property by providing the necessary service of ensuring clean and comfortable shared use spaces across the site. EVS positively represents Surf Ranch through the daily cleaning of assigned space’s, back of house areas, and common areas as per the established standards of cleanliness and through interaction with guests.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and cleans flooring in common areas and employee spaces
- Scrubs, disinfects and deodorizes bathtubs / showers, toilets, wash basins, wastebaskets, tile and other bathroom and / or vanity fixtures and furnishings in the common areas and employee spaces.
- Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in common areas and employee spaces
- Removes trash and debris from guests’ common areas and employee spaces
- Strips beds, collects dirty linens, and makes beds with fresh linens as assigned to assist housekeeping

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of F&B and Property Manager, this role is responsible for all aspects of garden operations.
Within the Surf Ranch garden operations; will design and implement growing systems to maximize production of vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, and other products - with the primary goal of supplying successions of organic produce to the central kitchen, and will collaborate with the Director of F&B and Property Manager.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop and implement all farming activities, including crop planning, succession planting, irrigation, orchard and native garden maintenance, soil building, composting, harvesting, use of cover crop, seed selection, pest management, seeding, greenhouse propagation, transplanting, farm maintenance and weed mitigation.

Surf RanchGuest Experience HostWaveCo. Lemoore
The Guest Experience Host is responsible for championing the guest experience for all groups from beginning to end. The position will act as the liaison between the Guest and the Guest Experience team and be the primary point of contact throughout all experiences. The Guest Experience Host be an extension of the guest experience process prior to arrival and relay the needs of the guests while they are on site to the operational teams. The position will work closely across all departments to ensure a smooth operational flow and the guest’s needs are being met.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Acting as the main point of contact from the time a group arrives on site until they depart
- Coordinate with Guest Experience team to gather information for upcoming experiences
- Welcome all arriving guests to Surf Ranch
- Champion the collateral creation process including but not limited to guest itineraries, site maps, welcome videos, etc.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and keep open lines of communication with group lead and other group stakeholders
- Relay information to the appropriate team to ensure a smooth-running operation
- Be the liaison for all operational teams on site and relay the proper information to decision makers
- When daily itinerary becomes adjusted ensure communication down to all teams and ensure clear communication to guests on any changes

Summary:
The Hospitality Lead is responsible for deliverables related to guest services. This includes management of the Hospitality Servers and Bartenders of Surf Ranch. The Hospitality Lead will report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Ensure the timely delivery of all food and beverage needs at Surf Ranch
- Serve and remove food & drink and remove dishes after use
- Track any dietary requirements of guests

The Hospitality Server ensures that guests are comfortable and provide food and beverage service. To ensure the ranch house service is at a quality at all times while preserving a level of guest privacy. To complete all cleaning and preparation to ensure a smooth service at all times.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- To prepare and carry out food and beverage service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner. This includes offering service to guests, regularly checking the floor, this includes all ranch house, decks and surrounding areas.
- To keep back of house and ranch house areas tidy at all times and to regularly clean all associated equipment.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks for guest and wash utensils after each use.
- Pour all drinks to the recommended legal standard (correct measure) in the appropriate glassware.
- Clean up after food service including with appropriate chemicals.
- To notify the Director of Guest Services if you observe a particular item of stock is running low.
- To attend training sessions and courses and to assist with the ‘on-the-job’ training of new staff, as required.

The Housekeeping staff ensures a professional and positive overall impression of the property by providing the necessary service of ensuring clean and comfortable lodging accommodations for guests. Housekeeping positively represents Surf Ranch through the daily cleaning of assigned space’s, lodging units, and common areas as per the established standards of cleanliness and through interaction with guests.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and cleans flooring in lodging accommodations and common areas
- Scrubs, disinfects and deodorizes bathtubs / showers, toilets, wash basins, wastebaskets, tile and other bathroom and / or vanity fixtures and furnishings in the guest accommodations and common areas.
- Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in guests’ accommodations and common areas
- Removes trash and debris from guests’ accommodations and common areas
- Strips beds, collects dirty linens, and makes beds with fresh linens
- Replenishes linens, amenities and other supplies in guests’ rooms

Under the direct supervision of the Surf Ranch Security Supervisor, the Security Guard at Surf Ranch will work to keep Surf Ranch safe and secure at all times. This position will be responsible for ensuring the flow of vehicles and patrons that arrive and depart Surf Ranch daily. The Surf Ranch Security Guard must have a thorough understanding of the Surf Ranch property lines and all entrances and exits on site. The Security Guard must understand areas of the property that are less secure than others and to monitor those areas accordingly.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Interface with guests and employees as they enter Surf Ranch through the service and main entrances.
- Ensure that waivers and all other documentation needed to come on site by Vendors or guests are completed.
- Patrol Surf Ranch and do sweeps on a consistent basis.
- Monitor the perimeter fence throughout the day and night.
- Intervene and resolve security threats or issues as they arise.
- Provide friendly interactions with Surf Ranch staff, vendors, and guests
- Assist with overnight accommodation check in and out processes.
- Understand the Surf Ranch property lines, easements etc.
- Understand the Surf Ranch security/ emergency evacuation plan.
- Assist in monitoring overall guest safety and safe use of bikes, e-bikes, and other guest amenities

The Surf Guide plays an integral role in guest safety and guest experience both in and out of the water at Surf Ranch. Under the direct supervision of the Surf Ranch Surf Team Lead the Surf Guide will perform various duties at the Surf Ranch facility. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating guest surfing, enforcing rules, and providing quality guest service. The Surf Guide will work directly with guests to provide them with the best possible surfing experience during their time at Surf Ranch. The Surf Guide must have a thorough understanding of all ‘wave system’ operations including a working knowledge of the Surf Ranch Wave, as well as lifeguard duties as they pertain to emergency communication and response.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Instruct, advise, and assist guests with all surfing operations.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of visitors.
- Maintain all surfing equipment such as boards, fins, leashes, wetsuits etc.
- Assist lifeguards in emergency medical aid and water response.
- Maintain training requirements.
- Provide a clean locker room including guest names on lockers in accordance with the fourth interaction of the guest service trail.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of Surf Ranch facilities including the board room.

- Surf Ranch specific water safety training
- CPR/AED & First Aid Certified preferred
- Previous surf lesson instructor experience
