The Accounts Assistant & Office Admin will work on the APAC Administration team to perform administrative duties and support the Finance Team. On the administrative side, they will answer calls and support the departments when needed to ensure the office runs smoothly. Responsibilities:

THE OPPORTUNITY AND THE TEAM
WSL is looking to expand the Accounting Team with the newly created Accounts Payable Specialist position who will own the Accounts Payable Accounting Function. The position will report to the WSL Director of Accounting, Assistant Controller. Controllership is a fun and collaborative Accounting Team and the Accounts Payable Specialist is a critical member of the team and an integral part of the global organization. This position will work directly with organization-wide cross-functional business partners and is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the organization’s business and to support our exciting global expansion. This position provides excellent professional and career growth opportunities. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office on Tue/Wed/ Thurs.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Transactional
- Participate in the input, approval and processing of vendor invoices, return to vendor documentation, staff member expense reports, new vendor set up, and the weekly payment runs including check, ACH, and wires.
- Enter and review A/P entries to ensure accuracy of posted invoices and supporting documentation
- Monitors supplier account details for late charges, missing invoices and other irregularities; update supplier accounts as needed
- Actively participates in month-end close processes, booking journal entries and providing appropriate detail level review and analysis
- Initiate solutions for issues that come up throughout various AP processes
- Perform month-end bank reconciliation and roll-forward of related balance sheet accounts

The Content Operations Producer will be skilled at the content creation techniques that power leading digital media brands, and responsible for daily content creation and publishing to the World Surf League’s digital platforms. World Surf League digital content will focus on video and multimedia storytelling. This role will report directly into the Chief Technology Officer.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Work as a key member of the digital content team to create daily content and maintain a distinct World Surf League voice.
- Identification and development of compelling storylines for core and aspirational fans.
- Cover WSL events and program our owned and operated platforms with relevant information before, during and after live competition.
- Curate content for fans in digital experiences, collaborating with a cross functional team.

Works under the supervision of the Surf Ranch Sous Chef and Kitchen Supervisor. The cook is responsible for assisting the culinary team on the execution and preparation of menu items, receiving and processing deliveries, cleaning, and supporting the culinary department as requested by Chefs, Hospitality management, and people leaders. The position is responsible for ensuring quality meals and service for Surf Ranch guests during their stay. The Cook should familiarize themselves with the guests that are coming to visit Surf Ranch and be knowledgeable of any dietary or allergy restrictions.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen facilities meeting company standards and health code regulations
- Prepare food/maintain facility in accordance with company and health code regulations

The Director, Events will play a key role in the creation, management and execution of the Latin America based events held around the year. This role reports to the President, LATAM. This role is an integral member of the larger tour and events team. The role is based in the WSL LATAM Headquarters in São Paulo, Brazil. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Set, communicate and manage timelines and priorities on all regional events
- Ensure thorough planning of event budgets, managing cash flow expectations to ensure no surprises for finance team and event runs to budget

- Working with local government and 3rd parties to facilitate tax incentive programs for the events

The Guest Experience Host is responsible for championing the guest experience for all groups from beginning to end. The position will act as the liaison between the Guest and the Guest Experience team and be the primary point of contact throughout all experiences. The Guest Experience Host be an extension of the guest experience process prior to arrival and relay the needs of the guests while they are on site to the operational teams. The position will work closely across all departments to ensure a smooth operational flow and the guest’s needs are being met.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Acting as the main point of contact from the time a group arrives on site until they depart
- Coordinate with Guest Experience team to gather information for upcoming experiences
- Welcome all arriving guests to Surf Ranch
- Champion the collateral creation process including but not limited to guest itineraries, site maps, welcome videos, etc.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and keep open lines of communication with group lead and other group stakeholders

The Surf Guide plays an integral role in guest safety and guest experience both in and out of the water at Surf Ranch. Under the direct supervision of the Surf Ranch Surf Team Lead the Surf Guide will perform various duties at the Surf Ranch facility. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating guest surfing, enforcing rules, and providing quality guest service. The Surf Guide will work directly with guests to provide them with the best possible surfing experience during their time at Surf Ranch. The Surf Guide must have a thorough understanding of all ‘wave system’ operations including a working knowledge of the Surf Ranch Wave, as well as lifeguard duties as they pertain to emergency communication and response.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Instruct, advise, and assist guests with all surfing
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of
- Maintain all surfing equipment such as boards, fins, leashes
- Assist lifeguards in emergency medical aid and water
- Maintain training
- Provide a clean locker room including guest names on lockers in accordance with the fourth interaction of the guest service trail.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of Surf Ranch facilities including the board
- Ensure all activities & operations are conducted in accordance with established procedures &
- Enforce rules, safety regulations, and general facility
- Provide in-water surf guidance in a manner consistent with the company’s surf guide
- Provide video sessions following surfing activities in a manner consistent with the company’s coaching program.
- Understand the ‘Surf Ranch Water Safety & Rescue Operations’.
- Understand the ‘Surf Ranch Wave System Theory of Operations’.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of surf instruction that can be applied to all skill levels, fully incorporating the company’s surf guide training program
- Strong communication skills to communicate to staff during emergency response via hand signals and other communication protocols
- 10+ years of surfing experience
- Surf Ranch specific water safety training
- CPR/AED & First Aid Certified preferred
- Previous surf lesson experience preferred

Physical requirements:
- Physically able to swim, swim in rough and deep water, walk, run, walk or run over rough or uneven surfaces, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry loads.
- Must be able to swim at least 550 yards, dive at least 10 feet deep, swim with a 10 pound object for at least 20 yards, and tread water for at least 2 minutes.
- Must be able to watch and supervise groups of students in the ocean and/or bay while coaching technique and supervising safety.
- Must be able to recognize and respond to emergencies and prevent injuries or drowning.

The Video Editor role is a pivotal team member of the Post Production and Broadcast team at the World Surf League. This role is tasked with editing both longform and short form content for Live Broadcast as well as for Linear & Digital distribution. Experience with longer form episodic storytelling (scripted & unscripted) is a must. Position will also require travel from time to time to support the WSL’s Broadcast team with quick turn edited content. This person must excel in a fast-paced environment and be able to balance multiple projects simultaneously. The right person will use their creative vision across all of the WSL’s platforms to help create compelling video content that inspires and energizes surf fans.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Editing short form content for Broadcast & Promotional purposes
- Editing longform episodic television shows for linear and digital distribution
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere (MAC OS)
- Tracking music use for licensing for Broadcast & Digital properties
- Provide support to producers/executive producers where needed
- Intermediate+ knowledge of Adobe After Effects (modifying lower thirds and titles, etc)
- Export Masters for delivery
- Stay consistently up to date on creative trends, best practices, and innovative editing techniques
- Ability to travel globally upon request
Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere
