After 11 World Titles and more than 20 years on Tour, it's hard to believe that Kelly Slater (USA) has anything left to learn about competitive surfing. But as the level of talent rises on the Championship Tour (CT) so must its longest-tenured veteran. During the Billabong Pipe Masters, Slater discussed what he's learned this year, why he's switching up his equipment, and what he'll be working on to prepare for the 2016 season.
Of course, he had a secret up his jersey sleeve. Just days after he spoke of bigger goals, he announced the launch of KS Wave Co., quite possibly the world's best artificial wave ever made.
One thing for his fans to note, though: He's not done competing yet.
