Brazilian Italo Ferreira set the pace early Saturday with some solid pits, proving there were incredible rides to be had at Teahupo'o even on an average day.
Ferreira came into the 2016 season determined to better each of his results from last year. Given he made the Quarterfinals here in 2015 (during his rookie season) odds are he won't be content with anything less than a Semifinal finish. But let's not forget, Ferreira is also a dark horse in this year's world title race. He's currently sitting in No. 6 on the Jeep Leaderboard.
