Post Show Report: Another Scorcher at Vans US Open of Surfing

Joe Turpel was joined by Strider Wasilewski and Pete Mel on the set today to re-cap all the day's top stories from Day 4 at the Vans US Open of Surfing. Once again, Huntington pier was the backdrop for a dramatic day at the Women's Championship Tour event, where Coco Ho and Sage Erickson broke the World Title chase wide open with their wins over No. 1 Tyler Wright and No. 2 Sally Fitzgibbons. The Men's QS10,000 completed Round Three, where a number of CT surfers including Kolohe Andino and Sebastian Zietz were eliminated in the Round of 48. To close out the day, the Quarterfinals of the Juniors division hit the water, and a pack of San Clemente's finest flared up to dominate the action. Round Four of the Men's hits the water first thing Friday a.m., while the Women's goes on hold until at least Saturday with just the Semifinals and Final still to run.
