Date: Monday, March 3, 2014
Schedule: Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast Round 2 ON at 11:45am
Conditions: Two-to-Three foot (1 metre) waves at Snapper Rocks. Light wind. Scattered showers.

Official Assessment: The swell has dropped slightly this morning to the two-to-three foot (1 metre) range with generally clean conditions. The swell today remains fairly clean on the banks, but adaptability remains key. Combination of major maneuvers continue to score very well out at Snapper Rocks and the pointbreak aspect of the venue lends itself to the speed, power and flow components of the criteria. Important to note, however, that surfers avoid getting bogged down into doing the same turn over and over out here. We want to see variety of repertoire and those who go above the lip will be well-rewarded. We'll wait for the tide to peak this morning and start dropping out again before commencing competition. - Rich Porta, ASP Head Judge
