Final Day Highlights from 2017 SEAT Pro Netanya

Brazil's Peterson Crisanto and Basque Country's Garazi Sanchez Ortun made the most of their Mediterranean surf adventure by taking the top spots at the QS1500 SEAT Pro Netanya pres. by REEF in Israel.

After being sidelined for the better part of two years, Crisanto, 24, is looking to build some momentum in his renewed Qualifying Series campaign. In Netanya, his energetic brand of smooth, powerful surfing earned high praise from the judges throughout the event. He handily won the Final over Jordann Couzinet, leaving the Frenchman in a combo situation.

On the women's side Garazi Sanchez edged American newcomer Marissa Shaw in the Final. The win was a big step forward for the Basque Country star, who finished No. 4 in the European region in 2016. It will be a big confidence booster as she heads to Australia. Shaw, meanwhile, will be leaving with a big smile on her face after a very successful start to her QS campaign.
