For the past two years, under-18 surfers from all-over Europe have come to Caparica each Spring and competed in the regional Junior Qualifying Series, paving the way for bigger and better things.
This opening stage of the Junior season has seen emerge some of the best talent in European youth, and above all, asserted the domination of Cascais local Teresa Bonvalot, who won the first two editions in Caparica.

This year, the Caparica Primavera Surf Fest graduates to a full-on Festival, meaning the event will host all six categories: QS men and women, Juniors and Longboard divisions.
From April 10-15, more than 200 athletes will take on the playful peaks of Praia do Paraiso and put on an unprecedented display of professional surfing in the region.

The Caparica coastline boasts miles of pristine beaches and the numerous break walls serve as sand distillers to create peaky A-Frames all-along the central area of the waterfront. Event officials have secured multiple stretches of sand to run different events simultaneously and effectively complete the whole Surf Festival in under six days.

Alongside the main WSL events, a flurry of side-activities will keep everyone entertained with SUP, wind and kite surf, bodysurf and bodyboard events, skateboarding, and last but not least, two weekends of LIVE music for the nocturnal kind.
