2018 has kicked off with a a bang for Tweed Heads local Kobie Enright. First she took out the Carve Pro in Maroubra, her first ever WSL Qualifying Series event victory, and then a week later backed it up with a win at the Flight Centre Burleigh Pro. She is now prepared and ready for the QS to kick off in her back yard for the Mothernest Tweed Coast ProMothernest Tweed Coast Pro.

The QS1,000 competition - which will form the second of four stops on the Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series - will be Enright's most favoured event, something that is no doubt frightening for her fellow competitors.

"I couldn't have asked for a much better start to 2018 than to win back-to-back events," said Enright. "With any luck I'll use this momentum to my advantage when the Mothernest Tweed Coast Pro lands in my home region next week. The entire Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series is the perfect stepping stone into the year and I really want to use it as a pathway to qualify like so many others have done previously."

The exciting news is that the opening days of the event will be greeted with epic conditions with solid surf and favourable winds expeced along the tweed coast.

Micah Margieson, Mitchell James, Alyssa Lock, Brittani Nicholl and Ashlee Spence will join Enright on the list of Tweed locals who will be competing in the event
