A solid international field of surfers has assembled in West Sumbawa ahead of the event which will complete the trifecta of epic WSL events that have taken place across Indonesia over the last month. It's shaping up to be an exciting few days of surfing with a great forecast for the high performance break of Yo-Yo's.

"We've had an amazing run of events here in Indonesia and the final stage of the leg is bound to be one of the most exciting," said WSL event director Will Hayden-Smith. "Yo-Yo's is a seriously high performance wave, offering barrels, large open face sections and aerial ramps meaning our competitors will have plenty of opportunity to post big scores and put on an exciting show."

The Asian Surfing Cooperative has been holding events in West Sumbawa for the last few years and is stoked to be back and co-sanctioning with the WSL at one of Indonesia's premier surf spots.

"It's great to be back in Sumbawa for what is looking to be another exciting event," said ASC President Tipi Jabrik. "With the recent earthquakes in this region (Lombok and Sumbawa) we are hoping to bring awareness to the earthquake relief fund that has been set up. We want to show the world that this area is open for business as tourism is a very important to the local economy. We're all excited to see the Indonesian surfers mix it with the international field and hopefully continue to make the finals and show the incredible depth in talent we have."

This event is preceded by the Nias Pro at Sorake Bay and Simule Pro in North Sumatra. These events are are supported by the Indonesian Tourism Ministry, and the regional governments.
