In form at last week's Burton Automotive Pro, Italy's Leonardo Fioravanti's campaign came to a sudden end in the Quarterfinals when he dislocated his shoulder on his first wave of the heat.
"Very bummed to finish such an amazing week with a dislocated shoulder on my first wave in the Quarterfinal," Fioravanti wrote on Instagram shortly after withdrawing from the contest.

The extent of the injury is not clear at this time, but Fioravanti is hoping to be able to rehab it in time for the start of the 2019 Championship Tour season's opener at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast.
"Now all my focus is on getting back in the water for the first event of the CT at Snapper Rocks," continued Fioravanti.
Up against Matt Banting in the Quarters, Fioravanti's injury came when he took to the air and came down wrong.
