Founded in 2008, Thomas Surfboards is a name synonymous with longboarding and is a perfect fit as a presenting sponsor at this year's season opener in Noosa, the backyard of Thomas Surfboards. Having indirectly supported the Longboard Tour through providing many of the competitors with equipment over the years, Thomas founder and shaper Thomas Bexon is thrilled to extend his commitment to longboarding and the WSL in 2020.

"We're stoked to be able to get behind the World Longboard Tour," Bexon said. "The traditional and historical aspects of surf culture are synonymous with the Thomas Surfboards ethos and it's rad that the WSL brings this to the global stage. We can't wait to see the world's most stylish Women and Men kick off their world title campaigns right here in our own backyard of Noosa."

As the WSL Longboard Tour continues to evolve and develop, the involvement of brands like Thomas Surfboards is a testament to the longboard fraternity's approval of the ‘new look' Longboard Tour. Devon Howard, WSL Longboard Tour Director is proud to see the addition of such an iconic brand to the list of LT supporters in 2020.

"We're thrilled to have Thomas Surfboards partner with us right here in his hometown. For over a decade now he's been a key contributor to the local surf scene through the beautiful surfboards he builds as well as the incredible space he and his crew operate in town, which has become a cultural hub of sorts. Thomas Surfboards in Noosa Heads is a place where you can see your surfboard being built, enjoy some art at the latest installation, and get outfitted for your next surf adventure, all the while sipping on freshly brewed coffee by familiar faces you may have just shared waves with earlier that same day. I can't think of a better local business to be working with on the Noosa Open than Thomas Surfboards."
