If you haven't heard of Erin Brooks yet, let us make the introduction. She's only 13-years-old, she hails from Haleiwa, and she just blew up the internet with this seemingly effortless air-reverse at Waco.
This is an impressive punt. It's lofty, precise, and most importantly, it's is a glimpse into the future of female air progression. Especially with the rate wave pools are popping up, airs are being innovated daily.
Brooks made her debut as a pro junior in 2019, finishing the season rank No. 12. In March of this year she surfed the Papara Pro Open Tahiti and finished 5th. This was only the second Qualifying Series event of her life. And when she competes in small local events at home, she's rarely left out of the Finals.
Already locked in with Rip Curl, she also rides for Dakine, North Shore Surf Shop, Vertra, Banzai Bowls, Sharkbanz, Jucker Hawaii, Gregerson Surfing Photography, and Mayhem Surfboards. And after this air, we'll likely see some new stickers on her boards.
It's clear that this up and coming talent is one to keep an eye out for in the next few years. Oh and it's her birthday today so go enter her Instagram giveaway.
