Have mercy, Conner Coffin! The Santa Barbara hammer recently headed southbound to San Clemente where, like a well-struck power chord, he hit all the right notes at Lowers.
With autumn arriving in California and a steady stream of late-season south swells keeping the Trestles zone plenty fun, Conner's been stacking clips for a new Rip Curl edit, which just dropped today. More punk rock than southern rock, it showcases all the of the hard yards he's been putting in behind the scenes lately.
Conner's rail game is as crisp and powerful as ever. The time out of the jersey appears to have inspired more creativity and power in his surfing, if that was possible. And his latest flight of boards from JS Industries are looking sweet under his feet.
Being a surfer in Santa Barbara during the summer can be a challenge as pretty much zero south swell is able to dance through the Channel Islands. Usually during that time of year Conner's on the road chasing swells and results, but the summer of 2020 was a different kind of animal. But based on this new edit, Conner handled things just fine and has come through the doldrums more driven and attack-minded. There's really no question he'll be game-ready when the Tour fires back up again.
